No More Teacher Strikes in Pennsylvania?

New legislation that would make school strikes unconstitutional under state law was introduced by State Rep. Daryl Metcalfe, R-Butler, along with other state House representatives. The STRIKE-FREE Education Amendment House Bill 2092 would modify Article 3 Section 14 of the state Constitution. Pennsylvania averages around 12 teacher strikes per year and was home to 60% of all the nation's strikes from 2000 to 2007. Read more...
